our origin story
shui showed that it was possible to create the unique ideas conceptualized in my mind and bring it to a tangible reality without a blueprint. it exists as a testimony that i could breathe life into something i could touch that could also touch others as well.
as a woman, legacies aren’t traditionally passed on by our last names- they are born.
but in the spirit of making our own traditions, i have the honor of passing on my last name to the birth of my first creative business. s, from my first name shannon, given by my mom paired with hui, given by my dad, fused together to create shui- a blend of those who came before me and now, for those who come after me. stationary, a play on words derived from stationery meaning "fixed in position" with Jesus.
made by a creative for creatives, shui was designed to break out of the status quo and celebrate the ebbs and flow of a creative mind. it was designed to inspire with it’s childlike feel, faith-led prompts, and intentionally missing dates to leave the pressure behind.
